Question

LowerEast,

That looks like a good deal! Which dealer did you order from? What are the lease terms (number of months / miles per year)?

Thanks. I ordered from Orange County BMW. I leased my current car from them too, and they said the deal was below what they would usually do given the demand for the X5 right now, but they wanted to keep my business. Who knows if that's really the case. I just told the sales person what I wanted to pay, and they came back and said yes.

It's a 36 month lease with 10,000 miles per year.

You are right, the $500 credit is good until 2/28. The dealer isn't forthcoming with this info. Is the credit a deduct from the total price or a check rebate from BMWUSA? Will the dealer let you take on the current/available incentive at delivery? My dealer has been silenced on all of the incentives.

Thanks

The price I requested, and that the dealer gave me, was $1,000 over invoice less whatever incentives were available. You can see the available incentives on BMW's website. I believe the current $500 incentive is treated as a rebate, so it's taken as a cap cost reduction for a leased vehicle.

I locked in the January residuals / MF / incentive at the time I made the deal. I'll monitor what comes up in Feb and March, and if whatever residual / MF / incentive changes are available make for a better overall deal for me, I'll move to the February or March program. I already discussed it with the dealer , and they're fine with it, as they should be. Any change in incentives doesn't change the $1,000 over invoice we agreed on.

Discounts in the UK

Anyone from UK managed to get discounts?

I am about to start negotiation on M3.0d but dealer has already sold all his demonstrator stock so I can already hear the "We can sell all our allocation at full price" conversation

I bought my current diesel at Encinitas (Elizabeth). Best she offered was $1800 under MSRP. Ended up going to Escondido BMW. Talk to Amanda.

Hi.

I got a good deal from one of my local dealers, ~6% discount.

I ordered the 3D M Sport Carbon Black, Oyster/Black Dakota 2 weeks back.

PM me if you more details.

Get quotes from Drive the Deal and Autoebid first and ask your dealer if they will match them.

x5 35d

Bought in Illinois after putting out to bid to all dealers in IL, WI, IN and parts of MI, MO, IA and MN

MSRP $67050
Sell Price $62840 ($1000 over invoice)
Less $1000 USAA Rebate
Less $500 Drive Credit
Plus $164 Doc Fee (dealer margin)

Very happy with deal as I got one of the first Diesel allocations in the state by ordering and getting in line back in Oct. USAA and Drive Credit were both nice pickups I wasn't anticipating when I ordered.

Went to a dealership the other day and got a cold shoulder. Sounds like the demand is fairly highly for the new x5s. They only had two X5s on the lot, 35i and 50i for test drive purposes. Everything else was sold out.

Will wait for a few months and try my luck again.

Yeah. some are claiming hot demand and limited supply to try and hold price. Keep looking though. IF you went to one dealer that is just ONE dealer. Others will move on the truck that have allocations. BMW is building many more X5 and you can get it close to invoice before rebates, incentives, etc

What do you use to determine the invoice price for a vehicle? I'm assuming there is a website out there?

Is this with MSD security deposit?

Orange county and WW BMW in NY told me MSD are not legal in NY and due to BMWFS rule they can't do MSD in NY. Is that true?

I just ran the numbers with base MF .00130 and RV for 36/10K - 61% comes to $841.06 /month. With MSD it comes to $783.
