Thank you DA

I know there has been some chatter about driving assistant (DA) and questions about whether DA would perform an emergency stop. Well today I experienced DA kick in and bring the car to a complete stop.

I was driving about 30mph (50km/h) and for some reason something caught my eye (someone standing on an overpass) and I didn't realize the car in front of me stopped. With my wife screaming at me, I turned my head to see a big red car on the head up display and before I could react DA kicked in.

DA saved my weekend and a beating from my wife (haha). Note DA emergency stop only works between 10-60 km/h (6-35mph). Good thing I wasn't speeding. Although I wonder if you can set it to a higher speed.

The Ultimate Lifesaver Machine! Good to hear you and your wife are okay. I didn't know collision warning only kicked in between 10-60km/hr. Changing to higher speed settings would be nice.

Glad you and your wife are safe!

I wonder if insurance companies will start lowering our premiums because of this.

I kill myself sometimes I'm so funny.

Wow, glad to hear everyone is safe. Did you buy a lottery ticket? Just to confirm, you car does NOT have the stop and go feature/option? Just DA correct?
