It works very good on my 2018 X5

Thanks for Explanation

I coded Mine which is s x6 F16 2017 july

I use online decimal to hex calculator

I converted 85 insted of 160. The value came up 00x55

Its so smooth and soft close now. It can not be better than that.

Nor More Bang. Happy Days

Just did this with my 2016 F15. Ended up going with 18, 25, 40, then 58 for the rest. It’s perfect now, no bang at all, just a soft “off” to let me know it’s closed before the latching mechanism takes over!

Just to keep this thread update:

Dig into CAFD of my F31 and found the lowest default value of 00 5A (which equals 90) for ProfileCloseStopNode1PwmPlg (HKFM2). Codded. Everything works without any slam.

Sharing below the list for supported values from CAFD which I found which will work for 100%. In my case i had 00 BE coded by default and that was noisy. When coding 00 0A as advised above (which is not in the list) the lid was not closing completely after the car slept and was restarted hence my advise would be to use either 00 5A or 00 64

00 5a wert005A
00 64 wert0064
00 82 wert0082
00 8c wert008C
00 aa wert00AA
00 b4 wert00B4
00 be wert00BE

Parameters to change are the byte values for closing power at different positions in movement. Reduce to slow down.

ProfileCloseStopNode1PwmPlg, ProfileCloseStopNode2PwmPlg, etc.

Make sure you change both Node1 and Node2 power values for best results (the Facebook tips only mention Node2 therefore it's not ideal. If you only want to change one then better to change Node1). A lower power will give you less slam. So if you are not happy with 00C8, pick a smaller byte value such as 00A0.

The following hex values in ascending order are provided by BMW:

000A, 00A0, 00BE, 00C8, 00FA, 017C, 0212, 0226

corresponding to decimal values of:

10, 160, 190, 200, 250, 380, 530, 550, respectively.

It works very good on my 2018 X5
This worked for my 2018 F15. I programmed all 4 as well. First try,
The tailgate stopped short of closing!!! I reopened it then closed it again and it finally worked. Tested a second time for good measure and it was all good.

So happy. My 2015 x5 was much easier to code and I didn’t have to go into expert mode but I did have to go expert for my 2018 x5.

I love This forum. Thank you all so much!!

Not sure why this took me so long but I finally did this. Amazing satisfaction! Thank you to those that figured this out.
