Even though the interior is arguable more refined, feel that at the same time lost certain quintessential BMW attributes such as the blue/red dials for temperature adjustment. Am I right?? |

Agree with the comments regarding the exterior being ‘blah’, and even Dodge-like. This makes me appreciate my F15 even more, I’ll be holding on to it for a bit longer than planned. |

The rear end is a MESS, and the front is only mildly better. Inside is actually quite nice, but for being an "all new" model...really not much better than the F15. Our local dealer has several new G05 in stock and still quite a few '18 F15s in stock. It's crazy...parked side by side, the F15 looks like the new model. I am not kidding!!!

I get a real ‘star wars’ vibe from the exterior design. I’m picturing Luke driving mineral white and Darth Vader in jet black...

The Xdrive emblem on the rear is so lame. And I think they went overboard with all the “neons” in the cabin. Looks like what kids did to Honda’s after watching F&F movies lol. And fake exhaust, ugh...

I still think BMW screwed up the rear end. It seems to boxy now, where the rear end before looks classic. Everytime I see a F15 on a the road it is head turner even from the behind.

Look at those tail lights, badge placement (ruined both sides of the back), the exhaust tips tucked into a faux port, and the tow-hitch. I get that some people like having the tow option, but it’s there, showing at all times like a Explorer or Durango. The first one I posted was on the showroom floor next to a Carbon Black F15, the F15 looked so much better and like the newer model. I know it normally takes a while for newer models to grow on you, I don’t see this happening with the G05 for many people. |

I agree with all the comments here, I am not too blown away with the exterior design as yet (it probably will grow on me eventually when more and more will be visible on roads). As regards to interior, definitely quite nice, the huge 12.1” screens are beautiful, so is the ambient lighting, but I am not too thrilled with all the chrome they’ve added inside to buttons. I still like the original business feel with black buttons, but chrome.. too much bling...!!!

Lol, you’re quite right. But exhausts are definitely real.. I didn’t verify them myself when I test drive it, but I do remember sales guy mentioning that they’re real, plus all the review videos I’ve watched, almost every reviewer said they’re real and not fake.

I think he is referring to the “chrome” port that the pipes sit in. Of course the exhaust is real, it just looks cheesy.

I definitely like the F15 exterior better. The gesture controls seem like a gimmick to me. The only features I envy are the self hiding rear cargo cover (that is awesome/how durable is that?) and the power rear gate.

It also appears to be one large grill, so if one catches a rock/debris, replace the entire set of front teeth. I’ll go back and take more pics, I want to drive one and see how that goes. I went to look at the new Audi Q8 after the G05. It also has an oversized front grill, but the rest of the vehicle is very nice. Cheers |

Each bmw series used to look different but that came at a cost to BMW perhaps.
Now all post 2016 ish models are based on the same architecture and look similarish better profit margins perhaps as production process is streamlined but vehicles look unbalanced and perhaps dont drive as well as earlier models (and if they do its not because of mechanical soundness but due to multitude of stability systems in the on-board computer). I don't like the look of the newer bmw vehicles but will still buy them as hate other brands even more and am brand loyal. Also think BMW's hands have been forced of late given the electric upstart fracas etc and more R and D spent there perhaps |
