You mean after it comes off? No. There is no yellowing with OptiCoat Pro. It's just a very hard (9h) ceramic clear coating over your paint.

No I meant when we first get it, I see jr mentioned paint correction and opticoat, I wonder if it would cost less if the vehicle is right off the factory.

Maybe. I'm not sure regarding his vehicle. Maybe he had swirls or something that needed correction before the OptiCoat was put on.

$900 for coating? Can't you just purchase the product $59.00 https://detailersdomain.com/Optimum-...CC_p_1073.html from his website and apply them yourself?

$700-900 is the typical price though for paint protection coating of this kind if getting it done by an approved detailer.

That's the consumer-grade version you linked Kzang . The $900 job uses the Pro version, which is only available to authorized (and presumably trained) detailers.
Also check out Autopia.org. There's a specific section called "Click'n'Brag" that shows before and after shots, many including sealing with OC Pro. Definitely try the Gloss Coat if you're a DIYer and also interested in saving $$. The key is in the prep. Full polish/correction to remove any swirls first. Yes, even a brand new car has swirls installed by the dealer during prep. It's a no-cost option. This is the route I've been waiting to take, but a little sports injury has pushed this out a while.

opti coat doesnt protect your paint from chips or scratches, xpel or 3m will do it (film)
opti coat help prevent swirls, gives the "wet look" shiny paint plus its easier to keep the car clean eventually it wears out and last about 6 months paint correction can be swirls, or haze or hologram. If the car is comes wrapped in white film, u may have areas where paint may look dull. dealership will wash it but that wont help, it may need a detail. i got it detail within a month and you will see the difference.
