No noise on my install either but i was not expecting anything but better aero since these are X5M design. Actually they work better when i have water drops on my door glass it really help get rid of them. Photo just before i got them painted to match

i don't think these will decrease drag coefficient. i would file this under an exterior aesthetic "mod".

You need the cover and the surround. You still use the existing base and mirror.

I have a set in stock with Lane Change Assist option.

The outer ring is painted shadowline from BMW. While the cover is unpainted.
I can get them painted, but of course involved some cost.

excellent. i have been holding off on a set of euro aspherical mirrors because i was under the impression a different glass was needed.
