I am good Philippe. Weather is getting nice. Feeling better than last week. Just wish the rain would hold off so I could get a car wash.

How about you, Bhai?

Thank you Bhai !

Nice to hear you are fine my friend .Belgian weather is crazy ! Seemes like it's summer today with 22° Celsius . But in Avril we can get the 4 seasons in one day...

Left for my work today at 4-AM and I just came home ,I ruled the whole day at work and for the moment I'm in top shape !
And now I'm hungry but I have Belgian pie..

For this evening I'm planning Belgian fries with beef stew in brown beer sauce with onions .

Is this code for something else? Romance in the air?

Pizza is so delicious though. As long as it is not Chicago - was greatly disappointed in their pizza. I suppose I just like thin crust over deep dish though as a general preference.

Black Bush is my favorite, but honestly they're all hilarious.

CT supposedly has some of the best pizza in country.

Which pizza place did you go to? Lou Malnati's is probably the best deep dish place, but the quality varies from pizzeria. Generally, the early one in the city and the suburbs have better sauce and dough.

Deep dish ain't my favorite, but most people don't know that Chicago has another style of pizza: Tavern style. Thicker crust than NY style, but not that thick. Topping amounts are relatively tame when compared to deep dish, and sauce and meat are the high light.

Try Vito and Nick's next time you're there.

Chicago pizza is bullshit. Anyone who says otherwise is mentally handicapped and has never left the city of Chicago.

Ever watch his standup? THAT is hilarious. If you haven't and want to see it I can send you the DVD.

Also, I heard he had some kind of special on Netflix. I haven't seen it yet but would like to.

Killing them softly is probably my favorite standup DVD. Shit is hilarious.

Heard about his Netflix deal. Really excited to see what he does.

I'm pretty sure we went to Giordano's - place was packed, waited 40 min just to get a seat, and then it was just meh. We stuck to the magnificent mile stretch when we were there, didn't go too far outside that I would say.

Quick question - I noticed a lot of pubs in that stretch would either have nachos (subpar) or wings, but very few had both, and a number of pubs seemed not to have heard of nachos or wings at all based on their menu offerings. Are wings and nachos not that popular in Chicago then?

Giordano's is absolute crap. They, however, advertise a lot.

Both are pretty popular, however it depends on the pub and area. The old school bars and these new school joints don't really carry wings or nachos.

That said, bars near Wrigley and in the burbs are the place for wings. Best nachos and Mexican are in Pilsen. Greek town and UIC area also have nice places.

Thinking about it. Either Pepe's or Zuppardi's.

Well, if we ever return for a visit to the Windy City, I'll PM you before we leave for suggestions. Good to know it is specific to Giordanos - they were rated high on google which was what I used to make my decision - due to lack of other recommendations. I'm willing to give it another shot at a place that is legit.

You're definitely my go to guy for suggestions if we return, but at this point, that's only likely if my wife attends a conference there or something.

If you go back, go to Pizanos, they had some pretty good pizza. I had the bbq chicken last time and it was legit. BUT, with that being said, I prefer the bbq chicken pizza from Jets, even though it's a chain.

Wings are pretty much a general for any area in the US, I think. Nachos not so much, but is generally a bar food. Don't see it on many menus as an app anywhere.

There is a Jets next to my office. We ordered a fuck ton of pizzas and had a pizza party like a month ago. That shit was so greasy, I almost died. Tasted good though.
