Got Rear Ended
Got Rear Ended By a VW Golf. Since I need a new bumper cover, I am thinking of replacing it with M or M sport. Can someone give me ideas as to which one looks better and what other parts I need to replace? Do I need to change the whole exhaust part or just the exhaust tips.

Damnit, sorry to hear and see that.
I believe that DuSh would be the right person to ask about this, he did a similar conversion. Good luck! I hope everyone is ok. |

If your going for M sport your gonna need the following internal parts
M Mount for bumper, corner, rear left 51128054019 M Mount for bumper, corner, rear right 51128054020 The rest of the internal parts is the same throughout the line (X line, Lux line) Tow hook covers: Flap, towing eye, primed, rear left M 51128062757 Flap, towing eye, primed, rear right M 51128062758 Bumper Reflectors Reflector left 63147847591 Reflector right 63147847592 Also need the M sport exhaust tip...which unfortunately BMW does not sell individually, as it comes with the as whole exhaust. However you should look on EBAY or the forum classified for anyone who's selling though they're not going for cheap, It took me a while but I bought a set for around $250 on this forum classified. |

Sorry to hear, I would say the X5M rear but then you would also have to change your exhaust since the the tips don't line up the same. Got to watch out for them Cali drivers when it rains, I try to avoid them tailgaters as much as I can rain or shine.

But if he gets x5m rear bumper, he'll also need the x5m front bumper 🤔

Even if OP got the Msport rear bumper it won't look streamlined with a Xline/Luxline/no line X5. You will need the front and side skirts to pull it off.

maybe they "damaged" the muffler/exhaust and that needs to be replaced anyway, good opportunity to try and get an upgrade

Just picked up a used M Sport bumper from L.A. not sure where to get the M Sport Exhaust Tips? Once I got the Tips, should I take it to any muffler shop to do the swap or how it works? Ideas plz
