I read his biography once. I don't know about those modern movies tho.

I totally blame my librarian for that one. She was on her quest for god for Anna week of the month and she wanted me to read some classics on atheism and one of the last ones was a book about modern day atheism printed in the seventies.

I still think I read it from a philosophy book that was about modern day religious voids in modern world. It is a good quote, I could be remembering wrong since I read that book in the early 90's thanks to a very bossy librarian who only let me have one fiction novel if I read one book on philosophy or religion or history too.
