Help with Bimmer-Tech Rear View Camera Retrofit
I also have a query into Bimmer-Tech, but thought I'd also ping the community. I am in the process of retrofitting the rear-view camera in my wife's F15, and I'm hitting a snag working with the rear fuse box (power distribution unit). The instructions state "Connect branch A2, GN cable, to PIN 6 of plug Z2*6B VI 6+6-pin socket casing, to rear fuse box (1).” However, there is no 6+6 socket casing in the position shown in the picture, and no other wires into that location. However, there are fuses installed in the PDU in the location where the connector should be.
Has anyone done the install and come across this same issue? Do I need to buy a 6+6 socket connector? Or is there somewhere else to get power? |

In all my research, I thought the Bimmer-Tech retrofit would be a slam dunk. Seems like lots of people have done this successfully. I'll be surprised if my X5 diesel is a special case. Literally, it has every other option except Driver Assist and rear camera.
