Meh. I have anti-dazzle LEDs on the 740 and xenon on the X5. The advantages are fairly minor. If you're whittling dollars, it's a good place to save $1900.

I could be wrong but... unless you coded your car, I believe anti-dazzle is decoded in the US due to DOT regulations.

Sadly that was all part of an unexpected trip to the dealer for an issue with the display key. |

Personally, i like the looks of the bi xenon. They are bright enough. Downside is that you don't get the LED turn signal which i replaced for weisslicht led bulbs.

I ultimately decided to go with the lighting package and ordered it as part of my new vehicle option list.
Thanks for all the opinions and comments. Regarding the coding issue, a questions arises. Is it "illegal" to have the coding done so the anti-dazzle feature is operational? |

I know you already ordered, but I have had both LED (now) and Xenon (prior) - both are GREAT - LED is about 15% brighter, and has a nice design. As others have mentioned, unless you get the coding done its really not worth the $2000. The Xenons are fantastic and produce plenty of light.
As others have said, I would opt for other options before ticking the box on LEDs. Good luck and enjoy your car!

I had Xenons w/ adaptive lighting in my E53 and loved it. Kept them in the F15 and still love 'em. Look beautiful, not outdated, and plenty bright. I have no issues manually switching high beams (or shifting MTs, or checking my own side/rear mirrors). I buy BMWs to drive them, not just "ride in them".
I predict that auto dimming will become another repair headache over time for some owners. Plenty of electronic wiring, chips & cameras for point-of-failures. If you are leasing and enamored by all the new gizmos, then go for it! I bought mine, and have plenty of other uses for $1,900. Cheers, ChefK

Likewise I dont need the Driver Assist features, and if I was the only driver, would never get that stuff. But my wife drives the kids every where so I guess I'll get them. |

Probably because we are slow in advancement For example Europe and other countries have had CC with a chip for many years and we just recently started to convert to them

I had it done, it's pretty wild actually. The LED's are impressive in cottage country where it's really dark, no street lights at all. I never once got flashed by oncoming traffic. I like how the system tracks the car in front with a shadow box, I used it with my friend driving in front he said not blinding him at all.
