Did you install the LaminX on the headlights yourself?

I just bought some clear laminX to protect against stones on the freeway and such, and am wondering the difficulty of the install (on their site they rate it is fairly high difficulty). I have installed laminX on my A5 without much issue but the x5 headlights are considerably more contoured/curved.

Yes, I've installed it myself and the film does not fit very well. It actually started to bubble and the edges wrinkled. I eventually remove it.

Did you heat up the film or install on a hot day? My a5 hasn't had any issues, no bubbles or creases but again maybe a flatter lens.

Maybe I'll have to wait til next year for one of those nice 100 degree Houston days...

Yes, I used a heat gun and it was warm. Creases wouldn't go away.

I got my fog lights tinted from a shop but there's still a ring of clear fog light glass around the outside of the tint which is bothering me, does your X5 come with the black rings outlining the fog light? Because mine doesn't have those (2017 x5 m-sport)

Do you mean the tint doesn't cover all of the light lens? That would be the installer and product issue.
