Black M Performance grill - Night Vision

Anyone know if it is possible to just take the black surrounding on black the M Performance grill and put it on the oem grill with Night Vision in the car?

BMW sells a night vision compatible version of the M Performance grill.

Yes you can I did the same thing on my 550i with night vision.

Humm, is it the X5M dobbel slice version you think off? I do not want that one, my X5 do not have a M-pack , I think it will look silly with an M-grill.

No, they sell the regular M-Performance grill (single slat version) in both nightvision and non-nightvision capable formats; you just need to specify when ordering as they are two part numbers. Usually if you order from a dealer with your VIN it should automatically pull up the right one.

I have a Black F15 M-Sport with chrome kidney grills with night vision. I really want to change them out for some black grills. Stopped by the dealership and they quoted me a price of $596.88 to order and install the grills!!! Needless to say I still have the chrome grills in.

My wife drives the F15 daily and really couldn't care less what color grills are, but I would really love to have them changed out. I wish it was as easy as is was when I changed the grills in my F10 (Just pulled them out), but from the looks of it that's not possible with the night vision.
