BMW x5/x6M LCI?
Hello, new to this particular community! I have a quick question. I am looking into used x5s and x6s (also its M iterations), and I have found a couple good details.
My only concern is that I heard that the MY2018 or next year will mark the LCI for x5/x6? Do we have any details/information on a potential exterior facelift? Like any major design changes? If so, I think I will hold off until this current cycle is over. Thanks! |

There will be no X5 LCI. The next model ('18) will be a brand new design. Don't wait for it. I personally shy away from buying the first year of any new model. So live for today, buy that X5M/X6M and enjoy the crap out of it.

You are going to wait at least 3 years since first year cars will have tons of bugs. If you are willing to wait that long then sure go for it. There are no guarantee you will like the next generation looks. If you like the car then lease it and once new gen comes you can go buy it if you wish so.

So will x6 follow suit the major design change? When you say 2018, when we will it actually be on the road? is there a production year, so realistically 2018? or 2019? |

X6 will have a major change as well. Production year 2018, but you should expect dealers to get the cars by 2019.

I used to think that leasing was not the path for me because I would trade cars I financed for 4-5 years before trading for something newer and modern. I'm on my second lease now because I come to understand that since I like to drive modern and fresh cars, it's a financial wise decision to just lease a car every few years so that I can have the latest version of my favorite car at the moment, without taking a major loss financially if I realized the car is not suitable for me after driving it for a while.
