2014 X5 35i. Had about 38 codes. Leading to a front right wheel speed/abs sensor. Replaced it with no luck. Traced back the wire and sure enough found a section of wire that corroded. Repaired the wire and all good. Now only have 3 codes and chassis stabilization message. Tried to recalibrate the EPS and it starts the test front of the car lifted off the ground. Hazards start to flash. But it won't spin the steering wheel. Message in ista says the communication with the control unit EPS has been interrupted. The control unit must be connected. The ignition must be switched on or the PAD mode activated. Need help. Is this a bad EPS module?

You know. I think one of my jacks was not high enough to be honest. I'll try again and be 100% it's not touching at all. I'm gonna kick myself if that's all it was. Is there a center jack point in these. I don't see it. And yes drivers door must be closed.

Make sure you have perfect clearance and wheels being completely free since it uses electric steering to turn wheels, there is a good chance that even minimal resistance will cause it to fail. I used two jacks with pucks on each side to make it even and got it at least 2 inches off the ground.

Can't get back to running the test. Isn't it after the code pops up. You click calculate test plan? Or am I missing something. Also im getting an error for terminal 15N on. I should mention that I also just replaced the battery with a new one from the dealer. I did not replace the smaller battery though. Now I'm getting a few modules coming up in red instead of yellow or green on the control tree

Turn off your car, disconnect cable and close ISTA. Then re-establish the connection and start over.

Make sure front of car is jacked high enough off of ground. Tires should not make contact. Run ista and calibrate steering angle sensor. The steering wheel should turn on its own to calibrate.

Yes that is done exactly how ista says 3-4 times. Finishes well but error is active.

If you have ISTA you should look into the repair plan it offers you.

Have you driven the vehicle after? I believe it may need to be driven to finish calibrating.
