NBT HU coding

Hi guys. Firstly, let me say that I'm a complete novice at using eSys, I've always been a VCDS/Audi bloke until I bought my F15 so I'm on a steep learning curve!

My car is a late 2014 ex-police car BUT, unlike all of the other ex-force cars I've seen, this is equipped with a 12" screen, touchpad idrive (9320288) and a NBT HU radio/nav unit (9327313). It even appears to have a GPS antenna connected (blue FAKRA) but sadly has no DAB connectors. So it would appear that I have everything needed for a fully functioning nav system however, there is no navigation option on iDrive.

My suspicion is that BMW disabled/deleted the navigation feature by software so that the car was supplied with the correct (police) specification. I have tried adding option 609 to my FA and coding the HU_NBT but no joy. Any ideas how to enable this?

FSC code is required to enable Navi.

Ah, I was kind of hoping that as the hardware was already there this wouldn't be required. I've searched through the forums and there doesn't appear to be a guide as to how the FSC code in generated or uploaded. I know this is probably very basic stuff but can anyone help with this?

Believe it would be added via usb.

Is there a quick guide as to how this is done? I appreciate that a lot of members know how to do this but I haven't got a clue and searching for navigation FSC code doesn't bring any meaningful results

Yes, FSC is required.

Ok...tell him not me. Only code I ever put in for Nav was via iDrive.

Hi there , I have this same police car and spent 1000's of pound upgrading the interior. i have now installed a new NBT-HU and new screen along with touch drive controller. I am also looking for a coder to code all the functions. I am actually based in Edinburgh, Scotland. we could have met if i known before. I am getting the Msports seats and Steering wheels fitted tomorrow as the seats are not that great on these cars. I have ordered the door cards too. I have installed a new climate contol panal however after the nbt upgrade the sounds, dvd and power button does not work. i assume this would be fixed after the coding.
by the way whre did you get these black kidney grills i am looking for one.
