Information on the 2017 X3 is now available as it is in production. One source indicates iDrive 5.0 will be included in the 2017 X3. At a minimum one would expect the 2017 X5 will receive the same iDrive upgrade plus the touchscreen.

Checking to see if anyone has seen this in the US builds yet. Our 35d goes to production next week and I am curious if the digital cluster is going to be in it. Was completely against the digital cluster but then we rented a 5-series wagon for two weeks for a trip around France and it grew on me. I don't know if I prefer it over the traditional gauges but I am not losing sleep over it as a possibility.

Nothing yet. I've been searching the internet religiously for the past 3 weeks looking for any info on the 2017 X5M options and pricing. Looks like the F85 will be getting the 7 series touch screen, idrive 5.0, wireless charging and apple car play. This was only confirmed for the F85 though.

On a side note, you can retrofit the digital cluster if the 2017s don't have it. |

Got my VIN today and production supposed to start Monday. Bmwvin.com says nothing wrt gauges included in the build. Good luck with the X5M. And good luck in Bahrain. I spent my last year on active duty there with the Marine Security Force Company. I imagine it's changed a lot since 2000... Had a lot of fun there.

We have it standard in Canada, the quality of the screen is great from the viewing distance you normally drive, if you stare at it closely then obviously it needs to be super HD. But it makes the interior a lot more better looking at night. Must have if it's an option.

July build is for 2017, but no sure if the new digital dash board will available. For sure, the new iDrive is standard.

BMW can do much better with what is available now. I'm surprised how far behind they are against some of their competitors. Granted the classic look is nice, but they could offer that and a number of other options. |
