I absolutely love Carbon Black Metallic and is very similar to Sumatra Black I had on my RRS-SC. I never received so many compliments on a black car like I did on the CBM. I've owned nine black cars over the past ten years among many other colors... I am very familiar with black paint care, protection, maintenance and correction. Daily-Driver black cars only look the best on the day you buy it and the day you have it detailed to be appraised for trade-in.
After you put in the time black looks the best... Above is minor paint correction and protection I completed before winter on a vehicle I owned. Fact... but they look so damn good when they're clean.

Jet Black is stunning, but it's relatively soft paint so it's nearly impossible to keep "perfect". But when it's perfect, it's wonderful. CBM and BSM are harder paints, so they are harder to damage but at the same time, also harder to correct again.

If I find "goop" on the car after I get it home I just wash with a good dish cleaner first to get any kind of spray wax or film from the protective plastic they put on it when they ship. Then start with a good clay bar and lubricant followed by a decent wax finish. You can apply a paint protectant if you like as well...to each his own but Dealer cars are never really that "clean"

Agree, especially if they have been sitting around a while.

I think what I love about CBM so much is it always has a different shade of dark dark blue or black. It's never the same it seems, depending on whatever light is hitting it at that moment. Sometimes you swear it's black, and sometimes it does this... Different at every angle.

^^ Does look amazing, especially in the sun. MW was a better choice for me...as much as I love keeping a car clean, CBM is a job in itself to keep it mint.

Tried Nanolex Spray Sealant today and, as long as this stuff lasts like they say it does, I'm converted. Goes on very easily and gives an extra bit of depth and shine.
I can also recommend the Nanolex glass sealant as well. Water just falls off the glass. I'm going to buy their Si3d here to take home next year and will seal the paint when I get back to the states and can invest the proper time.
