Has anybody retro fitted the rear monitor?
I have two little kids and would be helpful sometimes when they have the rear monitor to make the trip a bit easier. I have DVD in motion enabled but the screen is small and too far for the rear passenger.
So my question is, has anybody installed a rear monitor that ties into the existing idrive/dvd player in the front? if not, what has others done to get some monitor screen that would work on the X5? |

Buy some ipads, or android tablets and get some headrest holders. Heaps cheaper, kids can watch their own shows, and get them wireless headphones so you can continue to listen to your music.....

I am not sure if I have seen a F15 posting, but I have seen a few on other chassis:
F01 Rear Seat Entertainment Retrofit F3x RSE High Retrofit I would imagine the less expensive option would be tablets with headrests holders as others suggested. With either OEM rear entertainment or tablets, different programming can be displayed on each monitor. |
