New BMW X5

First time BMW owner, just ordered an X5 for my wife. Hope I made the right decision! Currently being built with an eta of 3 weeks.

Also wondering if I should have gotten the 35d - current vehicle is a diesel Grand Cherokee - she likes the torque but way too many def problems!

Have you had a look at the X5 E as their's some benefits of being able to drive in restricted lanes plus you get some money back. It's also a good talking point for your wife as she is trying to help with reducing pollution.

You still have time to make changes if driver is 3w out but not too much time. I would add upgraded suspension of you can.
35d is a good option if you drive a lot.

I like your build, I went with a 2016 xDrive 35i and love the engine. Also the cold weather package, rear view camera, and space saver spare. But the LED lighting package and multi-contour seats were far more important to me than HUD, the speaker upgrade, and running boards which I read were kind of a joke and only serve to get your pants dirty.
