Polishing out swirls in wood trim
Hey Folks,
I know someone posted this before but I couldn't find it doing a search. What methods do you all use to polish out swirls and scratches in the fineline wood trim? I have a number of them on my dash and center console that are driving me crazy. They do not appear to be deep, mostly fine scratches from being dusted with a microfiber towel. What are you folks doing to keep your trim in tip-top shape? |

Haven't needed to on my X5 yet, but on my Audi I've used a light polish to remove swirls and light scratches from the piano black trim.

3m makes a plastic polish that i have used in the past on piano black trim. it has worked well however any gauges or deep scratches will still be seen.

i'll have to look for that and give it a try. OP, be sure to tape off the dash and other trim pieces, polish on a textured surface can be a b*tch to remove.
