Why did you go with the MPPK? Why not both?

I have been trying to find out if I should do the same. There are those that went straight to the MPPK and are happy. There are those that went straight to the RC Ultimate and are happy. There are those running them both.

I would love to have a clear understanding on which way to go:

MPPK and sell my RC Ultimate
MPPK + RC Ultimate (is there a benefit?)
Stay with the RC Ultimate

It was mostly warranty reasons, but the MPPK actually changes the tune and after experiencing both I really prefer the MPPK. It makes the F15 feel lighter, its the way BMW should deliver the stock F15.

I also didn't want to have to remove the RC overtime I brought it in for service...even though it takes 5 minutes tops, its still a pain. Im really satisfied with the MPPK, and I thought about keeping the RC...but is it really good for the engine to run both? I highly doubt it. MPPK is all I need. very pleased.

The RC is less than half the price though, so if you want to save $$...its a great option.

Thanks.

I also don't look forward to removing the chip.

If the machine feels lighter than with the RC then it seems like it might be a better tune.

Not really worried about the money if it improves the machine.

Thanks....

@wwanthony , I have the most mods than others in this forum.
I took my car for service and non-engine warranty work a few times already. And I never take off my tunes.
It is all preferrence.
Some like MPPK, some don't.
Some like RC on top of MPPK, some don't.
But, if you are worry about warranty, remember that they have to proof that it is the tune that indeed causing the damage.

I just bumped mine to C after 1000 miles on B. Very noticeable and added quite a bit more punch. Not sure if it's as smooth as B, but hopefully it smooths out as I put more miles on it.

It did get better for me after I drove it in C for a week or so. I just installed MPPK and will add the RC on top of it some time next week.

Recently moved to X world from FBO N54 E92 and missed the power. Went ahead and purchased the Racechip from RGsport.

Shout out to RGsport. Nice vender to deal with and responded my question in no time!!

Here is my review between MPPK versus Racechip tunes. I also added the Racechip on top of the MPPK and love it. Others have as well with same results.

Thanks for this, I just installed the RaceChip on my 2011 X3 35i M-sport. The instructions with the RC are less than clear, but this confirmed for me which sensors I thought it should connect to. I also installed an Afe intake at the same time, still in the initial adaptation phase, but it feels more powerful already.

Any other complimentary mods people suggest with the RaceChip? Just for a daily driver...and my X3 was built 7/2011, so the MPPK is not applicable according to BMW...

thanks

I think the RC is great by itself.

Going in for my first service with my X5. Does everyone remove their race chip before going? I removed the box and tucked the rest into the side wall. Thoughts?

Usually they don't check anything else just for regular service.
But just to be safe, just leave the dummy plug.

How much is your warranty worth to you? My personal philosophy is take zero chances. It takes 10 minutes for crying out loud. If they flag you, would you not kick yourself in the ass for not having bothered?

As Clint Eastwood used to say...

Are you still running F3 or found a better setting for 35d ?
