Just finished the installation. Everything went smooth except for the Trailier Malufuntion warning and a chipped a tail light while putting it back. Oh well my first major DIY the tail light will need to be replaced. :-(

Hi, is Execuhitch still in business? I'm not getting any response from them and the website has been down for a while.

I've been waiting since June for mine, was charged $1,400 early July, I called 2+ weeks ago and it was shipping that day, final QA before being sent, asked for money back, here we are and nothing...checking here to see if anyone has had luck ordering or talking to them.

Edit: called again this morning, just a transferred voicemail. Ugh. Renting Tahoe now due to this because it couldn't be shipped on time.

Ordered mine over the phone from Steve Nance on 9 Aug 16. Was told it would be about 2 weeks before it would ship. Haven't received it yet but hasn't been 2 weeks. My credit card has been billed already.

Yes, their website has been down for the past 2-3 months. My card was charged on the 07/07 and they finally shipped on 27/07 after I started to call every few days to check on it. I had grown tired of calling and asked for a refund. Then they promised it will be shipped the next day and they did.

When I placed the order I was told the card wouldn't be charged till it was shipped, but then they did. When I asked about it they said it was about to be shipped but they ran out of wiring harnesses.

Did they refund you the money?

And to anyone who already installed it, what's the right way to plug in the reusable clips on the fender trim? I can't seem to get the top two in.

No, I tried calling twice today, can't reach anyone. I was charged on 7/11 and put through a credit dispute with my bank today. I'm sure it will ship Monday....

Are you referring to the white clips that are the fourth ones up from the rear of the fender well? And they're are attached to the body of the car and not the trim after removing the trim, right? Take them off the body, attach (slide) on to the trim and then snap the trim back on to the body.

leo95se included the tip in his post here which was useful to me on my install a while back. Thanks again Leo!

For the wheel arch rivets, don't try to use their supplied reusable rivets... Do it right, buy a $20 rivet tool from Amazon and go to your BMW dealer and get the right rivets.

I saw your earlier post about that too. I'm trying to get the supplied rivets to work till I get the ones from BMW.

Hold the reusable rivet. Pull the center pin out (it will stop when it's almost all the way out), push the "sleeve" of the rivet in the hole once the fender arch is properly lined up, push the center pin part back in. This expands the sleeve part out inside and holds the fender arch in place. Similar to how a drywall anchor works, just a push pin instead of a screw expanding the anchor.

I don't remember exactly how theses specific rivets look, but it should look similar to the pic below when you insert it in the lined up holes. Then push the pin in. Hope that makes sense.

The center pin wouldn't go all the way in for some reason on the top most position.

Are Invisihitch & Execuhitch different companies?
If they are does anyone know if Invisihitch is available in Australia?
I fitted n Execuhitch on my e70 and have tried to get in contact with the distributor but I'm having no luck.
The Invisihitch looks like a better alternative.

I just took possession of my x5 40e and looking for a towing solution. Should I try to order the invisihitch over the phone or is the company going under?

Tell them you want it in three weeks, give them a deadline. I'm assuming my credit card dispute with USBank sped my final delivery up. I wish it would have went smoother, got the unit today, pretty solid!
