Wanted to say hi to everyone on forum
Bought x5 50i (after 3 year lease). Was able to find out that previous owner was a woman with 2 kids - saw some kids music, carseat marks on rear seats and previous name when pairing my phone. Hopefully it's a good info as I hope car wasn't abused - can't imagine a mom of 2 punching WOT everyday while listening to Christmas songs haha I have 2 questions please: 1. Stock RunFlat wheels are horrid. I was thinking going with 599m rims, but I'm not sure. What is the best compromise between comfort, acceleration and rim size? I don't want to put too big rims to bog down dynamics and I don't want to get harsher ride than my already harsh 19' run flats. 2. What is the consensus on best tune or bench flash currently available for 50i? 3. What's the procedure to get fastest 0-60 times. Turn off TC, push transmission left into S mode (or is it manual still not sure), keep revs up to 2-3k rpm while holding brakes? I've never tried this, so need some guidance Thank you Last edited by Captain comic; 07-27-2017 at 09:20 PM.. |

I had 18" RFT and recently ended up getting a 20" staggered setup and I absolutely love it. Here is a thread with some good discussion about tires and wheels sizes. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1404367 |

Whichever way you end up going with wheels, look into Continental DWS tires. Mostly everywhere I looked, people seem to love them for all weather performance. I'm a huge fan of mine. |

Pushing the shifter to the left activates sport shifting (still automatic). If you then choose to move the lever forward or backwards to manually select a gear, you are now in manual only mode and will remaining there until you return the shifter to the right position.

Press the selector until you are in Sport+
Move the shifter left into Sport Mode Press firmly on the brake Press the accelerator all the way to the floor, past the kickdown switch, and hold You should now see a checkered flag on the instrument panel Release the brake within 3 seconds Hold on |

Launch control is only available on sports trans auto that requires Msport line to get. Some have said it is code-able though.

Op, if you want more power from your X5, I'd pick up a piggyback tune chip.
