Connected Drive CarPlay Retrofit for 2016 X6M

Hi everyone, first and most, I just joined the group here and wanted to introduce myself. I own my 2016 X6M purchased last year. Production dated April 2016.

In July and forward, the Connected drive and Drive version was updated to 5.0
My curent version is: (which i don't know what it is 3 or 4?)
MN-003.009.004
TN-003.009.004

I've read lots of forums and threads Canadian, US and European to get an update. Most of them are dated back in 2016 and all say there is no update on retrofit for old system to the new apple CarPlay.
Wanting to know if anyone has recent update whether we can upgrade our system.
Thank you in advance for your help.

There is no option other than to retrofit an nbt2 with id5. Once you do that, you will also lose all connected drive services, as ATM2 is required for nbt2, and the 2016s have the older telematics ECU

I have the new id5 nbt2 in my f34 and there are a few visual upgrades imho but nothing to waste $ on nbt2 and lose connected drive over, and mine is coded for id6lite, and that's still my stance on the matter
