Did you ever play with AMBIENTE_ANZAHL_LIN_LAYER?
How about the driving modes? (AMBIENTE_FARBE_FES_BASIS, AMBIENTE_FARBE_FES_KOMFORT, AMBIENTE_FARBE_FES_SPORT_PLUS, etc)

Cool. To be honest though, I keep mine set at the standard orange since anything else clashes with the gauge cluster (normal dash gauges, not electronic).

In my F15 40e when I unlock the using the remote the interior dome (the ones above the doors, not the small light the lights up the over the center of the car) colors light up blue and when I open the doors they turn white. When I went to Group 0 ensemble 2 was weiss but I noticed that layers 1-3 were blau_F15_PHEV and as expected layers 5-8 were inaktiv. Group 0 ensemble 3 was weiss and layers 1-3 were also weiss

Any how, what I would like to do is when I unlock the door the blue dome lights come on (which already happens) ALSO when I open the doors I would like the blue lights to stay on (currently they turn white). What do I change to get the desired outcome?

Dome (White/Orange/Off), Rest (Dash/Door/Floor) = 14 options As described in thread. This is for ID4. ID5 has different groups.
Group 1: Orange | Orange, Orange, Orange
Group 2: White | Blue, Blue, Blue
Group 3: White | White, White, White
Group 4: White | Blue, White, White
Group 5: White | Orange, White, White
Group 6: White | White, Blue, Blue
Group 7: Orange | White, Orange, Orange
Group 8: White | Blue, White, Blue
Group 9: White | Orange, White, Orange

xDRIVE40e = Phev Blue
All others = Ivory Dynamic Blue

I am not sure how you can maintain color scheme with door open.

Thank you, I like this blue interior as I am walking up to the car after unlocking, the surprise is spoiled when the doors are opened.

What is great is the fact that you have 9 groups, so you have lots of room to experiment with choices and can even keep some of existing. Few of my themes:

I am looking into white interior lights that activate with door opening, but have not yet found parameter.

It must be under a different module all together because they are not controlled by the head unit.

It is more than likely in BDC_Body with Ambient Lighting.

Updating what? The app or the iDrive? It was just at service to have the iDrive controller replaced. I woulda hoped if a firmware update was available they would have done it. I did lose quite a bit of coding when I got it back

Just curious, what was wrong with your iDrive controller?

But, to your post, you can back up a config of the current code depending on the app/ method you're using.

I use BimmerCode and do occasional syncs to create stable backups for reverting back.

App maybe. Not sure as I do not have any IOS devices. I have only used E-sys for coding.

It was figity since I bought it. It would catch at one point when rotating it. "Internal failure" service dept called it. $1200 warranty bucks later.

But not sure how backing up will help menus show up that aren't showing up.
