So we're 146 miles into the new X5...

This is a badass machine. I'm really impressed.

This is the build:
2017 X5 35d
Cold Weather Package
Driving Assistance Package
Driving Assistance Plus Package
Dynamic Handling Package
Luxury Seating Package
Premium Package
Comfort Rear Seats incl. backrest angle and fore/aft adjustments
Multi-contour seats
Rear manual side window shades
Apple CarPlay Compatibility
Harman Kardon surround sound system
Space-saver spare
We had the car 11 days after it started production. On that day I had called the genius to get an update on the "Finishing Touches" status. He reported that the car had been released to a carrier the day before. I hung up the phone and then found I had an email from my CA with a video of the car sitting on their lot. Well played, CA. Well played.

Like many of you I fretted the packages and options for months before we finally pulled the trigger. In particular, I had high expectations for the Dynamic Handling Package. My first impression is that it is living up to the hype. I've visited the local ramps, curves, swoops, and bumps that have upset previous cars. A car this high and this heavy should not be this composed and comfortable, but it is. Well done magic suspension.

The tint went on the front windows today (35% - I'm not worried about matching), the xPel goes on Monday morning (full front clip including mirrors), and now I've got to make a decision on a hitch and bike carrier. Then I'm all set to hand the car over to the wife. This car is hers, not mine.

What an impressive car.

Ok. I haven't been that far into St. Louis. Chesterfield is the furthest I've been so far.

Yes, 35d is simply impressive, the torque is amazing. And if you add the Racechip Ultimate, you would get 500+ lb-ft of torque. Enjoy the machine..

Don't see me chipping or tuning this car. To me it's just right as it is. It's remarkably quiet and the low end torque makes it a treat to drive. Effortless power right where I want it.

Got the Xpel installed on the entire front clip today and it looks great. On Thursday I'll clean it up and get some shine on it. Sadly, I need a step stool to reach the roof and center top of the windshield. It sucks being short.

Just curious, but what did the Xpel install cost you?
