Buying a 14-15' X5 M-sport

Family is growing so need a bigger car, I've been looking for a used 14-15' X5 Msport i35, gray, black leather, LED, other options doesn't matter. Can anyone tell me if Kbb/eds are correct with private sale prices ? Listed prices vs KBB have a $5k difference.

Has anyone purchased a 14-15 X5 recently that I can compare purchased prices with?

Thanks

I just purchased a 2014 x35i w/ 17K miles. Has M-sport, Cold Weather, Premium, HK, Multi Contour Seats, Ventilated Seats for $41K

Paid a slight premium bc it has insanely low miles and all the packages I was looking for

M Sports are always in demand. If you're willing to skip that package, you can get some smoking deals on 2014/15 models for quite a bit less. I'd get the 2015 or later just because it's Year 2 of the refresh.

One thing I didn't care for when I was looking and can't do without now is the rear A/C. It's GREAT for the little passengers in the back especially during peak summer. So my advice would be to do a thorough study of each package and it's contents so you know exactly what to look for.

And of course...Good luck!

Garage List
2020 BMW M5  [10.00]
2014 X5 50i  [0.00]
I picked up a CPO '14 50i loaded with 20", DHP, LED, mocha nappa, HUD, AC seats, active steering, ACC, 4 zone climate and B&O stereo with 19,500 miles for $51k. Didn't want all the extras but now that I have them I love them. I do wish it didn't have the cooled seats as they are hella ugly compared to the non cooled mocha nappa!

Only options I don't have is the night vision and rear reclining seats.

I wouldn't say you paid a premium at all, that's a killer deal probably 5-8k under market from what I've seen

Picked up a late 2014 50i without m-sport but with
11 month factory warranty
cold weather
7 seat
luxury package
soft close
hud
adaptive cruise control
hk speakers
led
active steering
surround view
4 zone climate and multi contoured seats

and 18k miles

for 47k
paid more but got a good trade-in.

i was on the search for this for a while but never found a m-sport with acc and low miles, so jumped on this. had an option to cpo it for $$ but didn't.

ps: don't let my location fool you, we searched both side of the border and prices were quite competitive.

LED is a tough find. The X5 already comes with HID so the demand for upgraded lights are not a high priority for most buyers.

For me, M Sport was number one on my list and LED was the second thing. The front end is so much more aggressive with the LED lights. Makes a big difference in aesthetics, in my opinion.

IMO, KBB is fairly accurate in its range estimates for both private and dealer market. But it's hard to estimate the value of certain options, so that can drive premiums.

M Sport looks good but compared to the xline it looks narrow with less presence on the road. I think the only people who notice the LED are X5 geeks. And as we learned, LED isn't superior in terms of performance based on IIHS testing.

My wife was adamant she wanted the M Sport. She said "no M Sport, no care". The black kidneys and the LED headlights just complete the look. Perfect mama ride!
