An annoyance and a question on ventilation.
I could not come up with a good thread topic description but here it goes.
The only thing I have found that I do not like about my X5M is that when you lock the doors after exiting with the vehicle running it honks the horn. I live in the south and it's hot and humid here. During the summer I have always left my vehicles running when stopping at a convenience store or for a quick trip into the supermarket. My previous vehicles just made a beep like the normal tone with the BMW while not running. The horn on these are loud as hell. I hate that they honk when doing this. Anyway to disable that? Also, I assume like other keyless start vehicles the BMW will not shift out of park if the key fob is not in proximity of the vehicle? When using the app there is a function that allows you to ventilate the vehicle. What exactly happens when doing this and how well does it work? |

Yes it is annoying. You could probably code it to un-honk when you lock.
