I think new X5 still look awkward. Mpack helps but the car still looks wired. Definitely not BMW X5 like.
Too bad 5.0d will never come to America. We in US will be stuck with mediocre volume pusher 3.5d that is less powerful than outgoing model. Go figure.
Sad, very

However the interior is absolutely beautiful.

Is it just me... or does the interior from the front seats back (excluding the dash) resemble an LCI compared to a full new model? The tailgate, trunk interior, back seats, door panels, and centre console all look so similar to the outgoing model.

I noticed the Ontario plates too... seems strange but maybe Canada has a different diesel regulation so we may get it. Don't we also get more diesel car models here (Canada)?

I'm sure the X5 M50d badge on the trunk ruins the 50/50 weight distribution

yeah did not see Canadian plates. Good trick BMW. There is no way they will bring big 5.0d to Canada. That what I was told by good friend at the dealership. Still not enough demand for a diesel.

haahahahah that badge.. good lord.

the m50d should be on the side front door. and drop the m badge on the fender. just put x5 on the back.

so is this why infiniti rebadged the m45 to a q50 now? couldnt use m50?

Blame our government for making it so expensive to federalize cars so they're legal for sale here. The US is one of BMW's largest markets especially for M cars and SUVs so I'm sure they would love to give us the cool cars we crave, but our current rules make it very expensive.

awesome! Before my 335 I was in the 3.5 m sport...Amazing truck, the 5.0 can only be better, but the m sport package is why I fell in love with it, and ultimately chose it over an e92 m3. I was not dissapointed.

I wonder if BMW knows that this mammoth of a car has the same or smaller diameter tires then the little MB GLK, I'm sorry I can't over the tiny wheel and tire combo on this car. Doesn't fit, looks more like a station wagon with tinny tires. BMW ruins all their X cars with these mini wheels.

Seats and engine are killer. Body is ugly. Too many aggressive lines on the hood leading to an unsightly, protruding front grille. Too much mass in the upper rear end too. Also would look better with not so much of a vertical drop in the glass on the driver/passenger windows.

The more I look at the new photos the more I think it looks like a bloated pig. Hopefully looks better in person. I really think so far this is the worst looking BMW of the whole line up. At the moment, the Cayenne Diesel S seems to be my pick. However, I will wait for the final judgement when I see it in person.

Lovely. Now when is this engine going to filter down to a car I want to buy, read 3 or 4 series.
