Retired Pres/CEO of a manufacturing company that made tubular products (engine guards, handle bars, luggage carriers, etc.) for H-D and other companies.

Before that I spent most of my career in the auto industry as a supplier to the OEM's, including BMW in Spartanburg (in fact I was at the plant for the grand opening celebration). I managed companies that supplied under body stamped products, bumpers, glove boxes, cup holders, and finally sunroofs. I loved being part of the auto industry. It was always exciting. However, the never ending pressure of supplying the assembly line with the right part, at the right time and in the perfect condition, can be exhausting over the long run.

I'm happy to be retired!

Wow, so many of you have really interesting jobs! I'm a physical therapist, 55, (semi-retired now) and my husband, 59, is a retired AF pilot, now an airline pilot, with several other jobs in training, consulting, and sometimes teaches online grad classes for Embry-Riddle. We live near Tampa, FL. I ordered the car and I drive the car mostly. I'm the huge car enthusiast, I wish he was. His buddies drive M4s, and Porches, but he is stuck on his Accord. I give up...

Well, his car just sits in employee airport parking for days getting trashed by the environment anyway. He really likes the Mercedes SL Roadster or the 4 series convertible, I almost had him convinced to buy, but it will have to wait until our mountain dream house built (it will have a much bigger garage). I will get the XDrive next

I think I'm in love! My wife could care less about cars although she's the primary driver of the X.
