I think If they were real carbon fiber, it would affect the radio wave receptions and the keyfob would be useless.

Black silicone comes up for me, I thought you had the carbon fiber? I tried the silcone before but they stick inside my pocket and everything sticks to them as well. If you have the link to the carbon fiber ones that would be great. Also how does it install? JUst snap together or tape or? Thanks

Oooooh it messes with signal alright. Drives me crazy. Range is brutal (8ft) and often takes a second to allow the vehicle to start. So although it looks pretty it is a major drawback....but for $10 I think I can live with it as it doesn't affect day to day for me.

Just clicks together. Fit is perfect and hasn't fallen off at all so far.
