Car I tested had 4000km on clock and I would say that I do not belive the 3.7 time. More like 4.5 as compared to 435xd. Also too many rattles and squaks for a brand new car. Hope that Porsche brings it to another level with new cayanne. (X6M is looking way better than Porsche outside) |

The X6M was faster than the M3?! I may have to rethink a lot of my life choices. If i could only see out the back of the X6's tiny window, i would get this as my daily.

BMW is starting to beat Audi in their own game of understating power output. All the new Ms are now hiding power output. The new M3/M4 for example, makes 480+HP to the crank (not 430HP). That's why we were so shocked how Audis were able to have better numbers on the track compared to BMWs in the past, but they have the same power and more weight. The secret is on the dyno, Audi S cars were making way more power than advertised. BMW M division are doing the exact same thing, LOL. Quote:

These so called luxury trucks are cute and all for the wife that wants to drive fast....but when I think of or want a big, comfortable, useful, purpose built SUV/truck......I'm looking at an Escalade or Yukon Denali. These are fast don't get me wrong, just confusing.

It's a monster. I came from an F80 M3. The X5M is at another level as far as luxury, sound, and power.

The X5M laps the Cayenne Turbo S in performance, looks, and technology. Both are in the same car class (luxury sport SAV). Both will depreciate just as fast. People in this car category are not foolish. They've done the test drives, research, and can afford the Porsche if it truly was a better car. So the arm chair warriors are quick to make these ridiculous comments without rations nor own both cars before.

I rented a cayenne recently. While assuredly the base model, I was surprised how bland it was. No power, crappy interior, outdated entertainment system UI.
I am sure the maxed our cayenne turbo s is a better comparison, but I do not see it beating the x5m or x6m. Just sharing a platform with vw vehicles makes it "lesser than", imo. Dollar for dollar, it definitely seems like a worse value. The brakes actually seem better on the rental cayenne, however... |

I don't like the GLE coupe at all, the side specially the rear quarter looks utterly tall, the black center wheels make it look smaller than it is, and the nav screen is small. But it does have good exhaust notes as to all AMG engines.
Once thing M should improve is the engine sound.

Lol and please don't bring Escalade and Yukon in this comparison, they serve different purpose, but if I was to buy a luxo cruiser SUV, I would get a Range Rover. I did consider a Range Rover when buying my M, but decided to go with sport than comfort. Maybe get my wife the RR when she gets better in her driving.

Pretty aggressive comment, especially considering that the X6M was fastest around the track by a long shot, and that time difference wasnt built up on the straights. Hell, the X6M was even faster than the F80 M3 around the track!
