My mods portfolio

Here is my mods list. Forgot that I only post it on the other forum.

It has been 16 months and 13000 miles since I have the car.
I was having issues with the car the first day and first week of ownership.
After a few months, I finally received the 1 month payment refund from BMW.
Now, since then, here are the mods that I have done with it.

Codings:
- Windows rollup via keyfob / comfort access
- Side mirror fold via keyfob / comfort access
- Reduce side mirror fold time
- Trunk close via keyfob / driver side button
- DVD in motion
- Video via USB
- Temperature on TPMS screen (default only shows pressure)
- M Performance splash screen

- Lane departure on HUD
- Signal on HUD
- Rear tail light DRL
- and more...

FBO mods:
- BMS JB4 Stage 1
- Upgraded to JB4 Stage 2 (04/11 Confirmed working)
- BMS N55 Air Intake

- Phone Cradle delete
- M Sport Big Brake Kit
- Upgraded to Brembo Big Brake Kit in Yellow

- HRE P104 22"
- M Performance LED door sill

- Evolution Racewerks / ER Chargepipe in Anodized Black
- Evolution Racewerks / ER Catless downpipe in brushed finish
- RG Sport muffler with OEM M Sport tip

RG Sport muffler sound combined with the ER Catless downpipe.

Next mods would be:
- Coilover (Still doing a research)

For your entertainment, here are the picture of the M Sport brake installed.

Video of Dyno session #1 (Excuse the tapping sound, their mechanic was working on a car. )
- BMS Air Filter
- BMS JB4 Stage 2
- Evolution Racewerks / ER Chargepipe
- RG Sport Muffler
The gain between stock and with JB4 Stage 2 is 38hp and 66tq at the wheel.

Is it possible to adjust the width of the split screen content with coding? right now its about 2/3 left, 1/3 right....any way to make it 50/50?

I don't think so. I haven't seen or heard it done.

Correct. It's just the runway lines and arrows.

bothfly,

Yes, I am coding myself.
You might want to PM some other forums member, like wdimageneer and golovan. They are more advance that I do.

Woohoo, after some testing, it is confirmed that JB4 N55 Stage 2 is working on the F15 sDrive35i and xDrive35i.

Next, catless downpipe.

I just put an order for the F15 without the comfort access. Is it still possible to code the following?
- windows rollup via keyfob
- side mirror fold via keyfob
- trunk close via keyfob / driver side button

Great thread.

Any plans to strap the X5 on a dyno to see what its putting down to the wheels? I had the JB stage 2 on my previous F10 535xi N55 and guys with downpipe, JB S2 were barely cracking 300whp which is a big disappointment. Most were in the 280whp range which is VERY low for a JB stage 2 car.

Curious to see how the JB does on the F15 (i would expect similar results)

Alan

Alan,
Did you update the firmware?
Once the downpipe is done, most likely will be a dyno time.

I didn't when i had my 535 but i don't think that made a difference. I know several 535 guys with the tune and all of them dyno'ed around the same hp. I mean it felt better for sure but I was disappointed with the power it made on the dyno compared to what the N54 was capable of. Now i have a 550 so that fixed my hp issue but thinking I should get the N55 F15 instead next year because I am only averaging 9-14mpg with my 550 so I can't even imagine what it would do in the heavier N63TU F15
