Also, before our last visit they harrassed us to bring wife"s x5 in for complimentary car inspection - we only went the next day because the drivedrain malfunction msg came up; the appointment said they'd do complimentary inspection and diagnose our problem. Two days later and no communication from my SA (i had to call him daily for updates), he tells me the error is due to tpms sensors (wtf???!) So he resets them. We notice a deep scratch on the driver's side door handle and car was driven for 30miles which is more than our round trip to the dealer, so likely was used as his personal car.
To add insult to the injury they never did the complimentary inspection for which they harassed us but gladly charged us $200 for the doagnosis. They had the audacity to tell us that the inspection report would come in the email, then after a week of not receiving it we called and were told that there was a glitch in their software and could not produce the inspection report so had to bring the car back...a blatant lie.

The only reason I took the car there is due to the extended warranty which is sold and honored by their parent company.
We purchased both the x5, x6 and warranties from them, so once they expire we will never step into that dealership again. I did find a reputable indy shop and will taken them there if theres something I wont be able to diy.
I hope and trust you at a minimum reported them to the BBB !

im barely a DIYer when it comes to cars but I was able to change the cabin air filters (inside glove box area) and engine bay.

Just ordered via Amazon the engine air filter one so I can replace that as well. Feel very confident I can continue to do that myself :-)

Once our warranties are over I will, don't want to risk retaliation in case I need to have repairs done and use their warranty.

I wish I have seen this before.
I am asked for over $500 on the carbon filter and re-circulation filter change at BMW dealership.
And I have no other choice.

You always have a choice just decline the replacement and DIY.

I’m a diyer. I’ve changed the engine and under the hood cabin filters and thought that was it. How do I access the other cabin filter listed? Is it available on all f15s? Mine is 2018 40e
