Thank you for the answer! And, thank you for the DIY.

I am on the fence. Will the existing coding be defaulted or only in the modules which are flashed?

i didnt loose custom codings after the flasing done if i remember correctly. I have done other flashing in other modules and my codings were remaining unless you default code them after the procedure done!

from your DIY thread:

Shawn says,

"I would not flash BDC_GW either, even though it shows as a prerequisite."

And you agreed.

But, in your DIY you say,

"So when you want to update the NBT in my vehicle i have to choose BDC_GW in my UPDATE list."

If it is a dependency of mine, should I ignore it?

Thats an example on my DIY. And if you read the following comments, i suggest NOT to for BDC BODY or GW!

Waiting to square away my fsc's now. I am very grateful for your DIY. Well-done, man!

UPDATE: HU2 NBT upgraded from M to Y successfully!

I never did find those codings for the Smart Opener screen.

NBT EVO :

SMO_CONFIG - aktiv
BACKDOOR_SMO_INSTALLED - aktiv

Is it because I am using the old Loader, maybe?

I found this online, but do not know how to reconcile it with the cafd FDL Editor's contents from my vehicle.

I want also to mount SMO
I would like to ask what is the pin out in the plug of the SMO module?
There are 3 pins in the plug, but they are not numbered...

and second question: Where is it easier to connect to LINBus?
to pin 4 of the driver's door switch block or to pin 42 on connector 258*4B on BDC?

Controller Pin1 - LIN wire on PIN 42 on connector 258*4B into BDC located in Passenger Footwell
Controller Pin2 - +12VDC from Fuse F150 behind tailgate fuse block
Controller Pin3 - GND to ground bus filled with brown wires located next to tailgate fuse block

I went to the BDC for the LIN connection. Biggest trick was fishing a wire from the right-rear, up the side of the vehicle, past the doors and into the passenger footwell.

The solution is to carefully skin the insulation back somewhere along the length of the existing wire using an x-acto or an automatic wire stripper...

Then, tap the new wire into it with solder...

Lastly, insulate with a piece of electrical tape. Or, liquid-tape...

I did very similar on the front , when connecting to pin 42 (LIN)
but in rear fuse box this solution doesn't work
in place of fuse number 150 I have a empty pin slot....
that's why I'm looking for the part number of this dedicated pin

I understand.

There are many pin possibilities. If you remove an adjacent pin, photograph it and post that may generate a response. Plus, you could attempt to locate it yourself in RealOEM.com

Alternately, some eBay listings have junkyard fusebox assemblies with the wires still attached... One of those wires is gonna be just what you need.

Think of all the spare fuses you'd end up with! lol
