I agree. The wheels are a big part of the reason I'll get an xLine X5 if I go with an X5 at all.

I also think the rims in the pics are ugly. To each their own. I think BMW was doing themselves a disservice by advertising the new X5 in brown with those X-line rims.

You should check out the 20" wheel option for the xLine. Those are fantastic.

Looks too much like the current generation E70. Not enough to leave the E70 platform.

you can only see like half the running boards. when you open the door the full width of the boards are exposed and they should be quite usable.

They are the same 20" that are available on the Luxury Line, and that are available for the current gen X5. I like them a lot more than the 19" rims.

I had permission to take pictures.
I used a Canon SLR so it's not the size of camera you can hide in your sleeve ! :-)

Did the closed room was build inside the showroom, or they used the delivery room for it? i can spot walls and floor made of panels.

Thanks!

Bmw Beach Lounge at the Belgian coast. And yes, it's in a tent with temporary panels

The car was there for 1week only.

I guess the next opportunity will be Frankfurt later this month

Sparkling Brown is the most beautiful brown that BMW offers.

I love all the fingerprints on the iDrive screen. Intelligent people were clearly jabbing away at it hoping for something to happen.

i think front end finally looks good in these shots. not sure why "sparkling brown" used so much to rep this car. i just think brown is not a good color for a sportier brand like bmw. back end still a mess...LCI needed already there. interior looking great...clean but Porsche, audi, merc, and RR still miles better.

Where do they sell most of X5 between US and Europe? They are made in US so i think they sell most in USA. Wondering why they are not yet showcasing the car in US?

You know the reason for success beyond RRS? After TATA took over, they have clearly indicated to make cars considering luxury for family while including sport factor and vice versa. Result is, RRS now comes with third row and made several changes to accommodate all types of customers. They wanted to get away with exclusive tag of "Off Road" vehicle and wanted to brand themselves as Luxury Sport SUV.

Speaking of brown, Lexus and Merc had these colors and they are selling pretty well. You can spot 4 white of black X5s from 5 cars you see on road.
