Aftermarket wheels to produce same effect as the 20" 469M?

These are the wheels I currently have.

I am growing tired of the low-profile runflat ride quality. Looking for something more comfy. I do not mind giving up some handling and steering feedback. Maybe 18's or 19's.

I definitely want to keep this aggressive look, where the wheels fill up the M Sport fenders and wheel well.

Thank you in advance!

It's probably more the tires rather than the wheels. I'd swap tires before swapping wheels. But you do have the option of going down the 19s and getting a bit more sidewall.

I just recently purchased a 2017 40e with the M-sport package. I have the same 20" staggered setup with Continental runflats. I also don't care for the runflat ride quality. I have an appointment this morning to replace the runflats with Continental DWS's. I'm hoping that this improves the ride quality.

You'll notice a big difference. A temporary spare might be a good idea. I had to use mine about a month back.

I'd try a 20" top rated non-run flat tire first, especially since you want to keep an aggressive look. As P1 said, you could do OEM 19's on good tires too, but you'd need some bigger spacers to fill the wheel wells as their narrower than the OEM 20's you currently have.

I think 18's look silly on the F15, especially on an M Sport (never even seen that actually, as 19's were the base/standard M Sport wheel size).

It is all about tires, nothing to do with rims. Ditch runflats you will see the huge difference in the road noise as well as ride quality.

I think you'll find a change in its comfort for sure
I had the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx Runflats in 20s and I couldn't wait to use them up so I could replace with the Conti DWS06 in 20s
I've read many places that it's a big change and I believe it is. The Conti's are much more forgiving and the comfort is on a different level

You'll definitely notice a smoother ride with non runflats. Try the dws06 tires. Or there are a couple other brands in that size too.

I put on a few miles on the new Conti DWS 06's and it's noticeably smoother ride than the runflats. I had to do a full reset on the TPMS system after leaving the shop but that was easy.

I'm debating on getting a spare tire but with the extra batteries for the plug in hybrid I don't have a designated spot to store it. I don't think a can of fix-a-flat will substitute for a real spare tire.

Try mounting the DWS 06s to your 20s.
If that doesn’t work for you then switch out to the 19s. It was for this exact reason I spec’d out my ride with the 19s, much more variety. I rolled up just over 50k on the OE Pirelli Scorpion Verdes and switched to the DWS 06s. Having the spare tire kit has worked out well too, our F10 has needed it on occasion. Didn’t expect that.

I also recommend the Continental DWS06. Work very well on my 469Ms.... comfy but also handle well.

You guys are the best! I appreciate all the input. I saw the Conti's and they were reasonably priced. Based on the feedback here I will give that a shot first! Thank you again!

The DSW06s are nice tires, but I'm personally too much for a "thread snob" to consider them.

I ended up going with the Toyo ST III's myself. I wanted a more aggressive foot print.

How do they ride? Road noise?

Thank you! I'm seeing those tires more and more. Its' between those and the Conti's.

If I was too replaced my Pirelli run flats I would go with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Amazing all season tire and has the characteristics of a summer tire. Purchased a set for my E55.
