Power steering problem?

When the car is stationary, and I apply some lock to the steering wheel (not full), at certain points I will feel a slight vibration on the steering wheel. Applying further lock past that point immediately makes the vibration disappear, however returning the steering wheel to that point makes it come back. It's completely repeatable, and not intermittent.

Potential problem with the power steering mechanism (electric, I believe), or normal?

If the car is running idle you should have full -and smooth- range of motion on the wheel.
Do you feel anything on sharp turns?

You better check it out, primarily for safety.

Mine had vibration in the beginning and then turned into rattle, after multiple visits to the dealership they found the issue, the steering column was replaced and some bolts were not torqued properly/got loose. Don't know if this is similar issue. My thread with couple of videos is here https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1576879
