Driver seatbelt color
After the accident my 2014 BMW X5 has been already repaired, but there are couple of restraining system codes that require attention:
930934 Belt force limiter, driver: resistance too high. 930B08 Automatic seat belt pretensioner, driver: resistance too high So the drivers seatbelt assembly needs to be replaced. The seatbelt part # is 72117384679. I found on eBay one listing with the same part number, and looks like the same colour. My seatbelt color is beige (OYSTER). And donor car’s seatbelt looks beige as well. However based on the VIN decoder, the donor car’s interior trim is LEDER DAKOTA/CANBERRABEIGE (LCCY). My car's interior color is LEDER DAKOTA / ELFENBEINWEISS (LCEW). The seller can’t confirm whether his seatbelt color is identical to my car's seatbelt. Can someone here help to figure out if the seatbelt colors are identical? Last edited by yober; 11-17-2018 at 05:45 AM.. |

It can be ether black or oyster according to the ETK. So as long it’s not black - it should be the same color as yours

The seatbelt that was listed on eBay actually end up being wrong part number, i.e. was incorrectly listed as if with an Active Protection. Only after calling to dealership it was exposed that the donor car is not equipped with an Active Protection.
My car is equipped with Active Protection seatbelt part #72117384679. The part number is not printed on the seatbelt or any of it's parts. So it becomes hard to make sure that the replacement seatbelt would be with an Active Protection. I wonder how can I differentiate visually ? |

Get the new one from a dealer. It's your safety in the end of the day.
