Summer weather year round x35 or s35?

Hi everyone,

Living in South Florida and not having a need for AWD in regards to snow or rough terrain does AWD improve performance in regards to pick up or power? It has the same specs for HP and Torque. Looking into the future. Is AWD needed for a performance tune? I know most formula one cars have RWD so I don't think AWD improves speed and performance. Just want to confirm.
Thanks everyone

AWD always out perform rear wheel or front wheel. But there is a cost and maintenance difference. Towing consideration etc. AWD is also better in wet too not just snow keep in mind.

Awd has better resale and demand. But if you save enough, yeah get 2wd.

Agree! I tested the grip of the xdrive the other day. Very wet out and floored it as if I was pulling out in front of someone and it gripped the wet road perfectly. Peace of mind if I do need to pull out in a hurry in the wet.

Very good point as there is a misconception that AWD is just for those who must contend with snowy weather; however, it offers better traction on wet surfaces in general.

I’m a Native Texan who now lives in the North East and get to experience AWD during all seasons - not just winter. And I would not own a car - any car, without AWD. And should I move back South, my answer will be the same.

South FL here too .... went with AWD for potential towing (boat/wave runners) and for the downpours of rain. IMHO I would go with AWD.

Personally, I like the RWD. But I also like to put it in Sport+ and sling the end around every now and then.
