Looking for the drain hole under the rear fuse panel.
Good morning,
Yesterday my trunk was no opening, after driving for a couple minutes I started hearing beeping. Searched the forums and found that it was water under the rear fuse panel. Came to check it out today and there is ~2 inches of water. The trunk’s electric module is wet, I’m thinking to put it under rice so it could dry up. Worst scenario I buy a new one. Can someone tell me where is the rear drain hole under the fuse panel? I’m looking but all I see are two black circles on each corner. I also want to find the upper drain hole since the problem starts there. Thank you! |

Hello, Same thing happened to me.
The first thing to do is drain all the water from the side, then look at the battery compartment. There it was also flooded in my case. Then you must clean the water drains of the panoramic roof, you will see them right when you open the trunk: two black pieces on the top. (only if you have sunroof). Those holes should be cleaned every 3 or 4 months, usually in winter. In my case, what was damaged was the amplifier. I had to order a used one on eBay. more info: how to clean drains: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1678343 or try this: https://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1705112 good luck |
