MPPK - MPerformance Decal Installation Guide

When you order and install MPPK for your 35i, you should also get a small MPerformance decal that comes included with the kit. Normally dealers don't install decal and I'm guessing it is because most customers prefer not to. I was one of them, however I recently saw a CBM X5 Msport with this decal and I thought it looked pretty good. So I dug up my old envelope and did the install.

Decal and Template for Msport (F15 Performance) and Xline/Lux Line (F15 Standard).

Cut the Template and attach it to the skirt. Make sure the surface is clean and wiped with alcohol. Before applying the decal, make sure to apply pressure on the individual letters so that when you peel back the paper backing the letters don't peel off with it.

Applying the Decal. Make sure again to apply pressure on each letters against the skirt before peeling off the paper back.

Nicely done, Kzang . Maybe it's just me, but I really like the subtlety (both the size and location) of the one dubsesd used:

Hey Opasha, is that the same sticker that came with the MPP Kit?

No, it's smaller. I think BMW sells them too. Most likely he went the easier route and got it from eBay? I'm not sure, but I've seen them floating around amazon as well.

Yeah that looks sweet too. Only thing for me is that I already have a small ///M badge just above the air curtain so it may be too much ///M lol. Not that it isn't already

They are both cool looking. I have an Xline so it looks out of place no matter where I put it.

Well done guys...but my extreme hatred of stickers on my car will prevent me from going this route. I'll stick them on my tool chest instead.

I'm not convinced; I think it looks better without. Looks slightly out of place.

Gotta agree with P1ET on this one too. I love all of your mods Kzang but I think if you are going to put a decal on, go with the full black side skirt decal.

MPPK?

Please tell us how you like the MPPK and how much difference in performance is there. How many hours did the dealer charge to install? Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

Our resident author/columnist Kzang has an extensive thread reviewing MPE as well as MPPK. Either search or I'm sure he'll chime in with the link shortly.

Funny, this is exactly what I do as well. I also stick any badges I remove from my cars (if they survived the extraction process) on the chest as well.

For this specific sticker, it's pretty subtle down on the rocker, so I like it vs on the side above the vents.

Im loving my mppk experience. The throttle response is very quick and smooth. As for the price, I ordered mine on ebay for $899. Please pm me if your interested. If you are not in southern California Shawn Sheridan has a friend that could remotely install it. Some of the folks here even installed a race chip on top of the mppk. Good luck.

I've done a small first impression on the tune versus race chip tune on this thread..

http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1170172

and as far as long term review and how I feel... I would not ever want a 35i without MPPK. The additional power is very addicting and the transmission shift points are well... on point! I believe the tune also provides a more aggressive shifting holding he RPM's much longer than stock.

Also a huge thread about MPPK in general is discussed here thanks for this community. http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1157810

Kzang, would you please post a pic of the placement of the MPPK plate under the hood?

Thanks!

Disregard - I found a pic here: http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...highlight=MPPK
