Coding sport brakes prior to install?

Hey Guys,

I've got M Performance brakes w/ F85 rotors and Carbotech pads sitting in my garage. My X5 is going in for service next week, and I'm not sure if i'll have time to install the brakes before then. I want to have the vehicle coded for the Sport brakes to get the most out of them. My question, can I be proactive and have the vehicle coded before the brakes go on?

Personally I would NOT do a thing until after you install them. You have a 4,000+ lb vehicle. The last thing you want is to have a brake malfunction when you need it. Its a safety thing for you, your family, and everyone on the road. Let us know how u like the MPBK!

Good call man. After further thought, I was starting to think the same.
