Any Extras Sir?

So I've just placed an order for X5 M3.0d for an April production date and (hopefully) May delivery. Got bit of a discount, a decent trade in and 5-year servicing thrown in. The order documentation came with a load of additional price extras to consider:

1. A Glaze treatment
2. Alloy Wheel treatment
3. Gap Insurance
4. Tyre Insurance
5. Cosmetic Repair Insurance

Any of these worthwhile or shall I pass?

Garage List
you can get any of these much cheaper and in the case of GAP more comprehensive outside the BMW empire. I got cosmetic repair insurance "free" from dealer. £20000 3yr GAP was offered at £1000, which I declined, as you can get 25k - 4 years for less than £400. I didnt want to seal leather as I feel you are better off moisturizing it.

I am getting the Tire And wheel protection. Many people don't get it but based on my past experience in my 2011 Z4 i will opt for this.

It's a personal choice to get ripped off or not (in my view) by your dealer.
- I am saying that from experience.

All of the above you can get cheaper and better by using google and personal recommendation. A lot from this site.

I'm using a local Detailer for a Nano Ceramic sealer for the body, the alloys, glass and leather.
Gap insurance I'm getting from ala.co.uk

If you work out the insurance cost for tyre and cosmetic repair insurance you are better putting the money in an ISA and you getting the yield rather than the dealer vs the risk of an incident occurring.

Like I say it's just my personal opinion but barge and pole come to mind

Which nano sealer are you going with and what are you paying?

Hi, quote from the company, local to me;
To treat the paintwork, glass and interior leather, you would be looking at around £270 (including all preparation work).

demonfinishers.co.uk

Works out at 50% of the costs for AutoGlym from my BMW dealer and better judging from the finish my wife add applied to her 3 Series!
