Recommendation for N. Cal dealer to install MPPK

Anybody have any recommended dealer in San Francisco area to install MPPK? I got two quote of $500. I think it is to high compare to other forum members in S. CA and NY area. Sterling in S. Ca charge under $200 but I wish not to drive 6 hours to there if possible. Thanks.

Really should not be more than $200. I'd ask the $500. guys how they are justifying that amount. The BMW product sheet specifies "Installation time
Approx. 0.25 hours plus coding." http://images.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachment/1347686

I know some dealers inflate labor rates when parts aren't purchased from their Parts Dept.

That’s over inflated. I paid $170 in San Diego and I brought my own MPPK.

Valley BMW in Modesto if you feel like driving out here in the middle of nowhere charged me 2 hours of labor and priced matched getbmwparts for the MPPK. I didn't feel it was worth it to drive elsewhere to get charged still about 1.5 hours (east bay, fresno, sac).

Do you remember who is the service advisor? How much is 2 hours labor?

Thanks

steve varni. tell him Eric with the M5 sent you. They're pretty nice there compared to some other stealerships. They will honor BMW CCA discount too with the install. I think I was charged $318.00 for the install. I can't remember since I had added the MPE on for the install too. Together with the MPPK + MPE and install I paid 3070 after taxes.

You know you can ask forum member to install it for you. All you need is $20 cable. Usually cost $150 and you don't have to leave home

I'm in the South Bay and every dealership around me was quoting me +$2K for the MPPK. I finally got Mountain View to price match Peter Pan BMW(San Mateo) at $1500

Peter Pan actually has the MPPK with install price on their website:

It should be 1025 for MPPK and 125 labor, at least that's what I paid at Colorado Schomp BMW.

I had make an appointment with Valley BMW. $318 is the lowest installation cost that I can find around Bay area. Thanks lovesm3s recommendation.

I do not know who is the member that can help. I am also not so computer savvy.

I took mine to Sterling and coordinated the install with the part/service manager during my 2016 visit to Disneyland. They even gave me a free loaner to drive around. Weatherford was asking $600 cuz the SA said they need to install an intake and that takes a couple of hours. Lol

cool. Maybe you can test drive some cars. They have open roads near the dealership. Not much to do around there tho.
