Me personally, I rather watch a guy do the unimaginable than watching someone stuff there face with food or listening to the delicate sound of a f'king crinkling bag. I'm actually learning more about my car by watching him teardown and rebuild his.
I agree with you it is cool to see just saying I wouldn’t want to own the car myself that’s all.
I agree with both of you. I like watching and seeing how my car is built.. but I wouldn't want to buy one rebuilt in someone's garage. Who knows though maybe he'll surprise us and do a really thorough job of rebuilding it.

Exactly. And let's not get ahead of him or ourselves. Even though this will eventually end up on the market in the future, he is making this for his wife.

Side note. So far he hasn't given me any reason to doubt his work. His disassembly game is on point lol. And for the right price , alot of people would buy this car when done no questions and get the same attention, effect and feeling as any other owner. That's just facts.

Lol yep!

It will drive, look, and feel like an M even though the vin said different, and that has its appeal as for insurance purposes as cost of ownership will be lower. I know where I live the M carries a hearty premium.

Some people like the challenge and to some this is totally worth it as when he's done he will have a cheap newish car and can invest the thousands saved elsewhere.

Technically if you wanted to Create a clone the cost for M brakes wheels, exterior bits and interior and other bits buying a totaled M could be cheaper than buying these parts from a salvage yard, then sell the husk to a scrapper when done.

Theirs a few x5M's on copart.com that look great and are drivable for 15k or less so who knows how cheap he paid for the two he won.

My main concern with this is the metal from the donor car. I would think that the high heat from the fire would have weakened it to some degree.

Couldn’t agree more. These garbage videos are giant black holes of utter time waste. I reckon all these can be shortened to a few minutes, but no, gotta stretch it out as loooooong as possible for the YT “money” bro...

I don’t watch anything on YouTube. I honestly don’t understand how millions can watch such subpar material. We’re doomed.

You really don't know what you're missing. I haven't watched normal tv in a few years. Just watch YouTube. So much content on there from all around the world.

For me and my wife it's been 14 years. We must have saved over $10000 doing so.

It's a Vlog .You know, a video log? And, just so I dont come off hypocritical when I'm done, I didnt have to comment on your negative reaction, no more than you dont have to watch his videos.

Certainly. But this is a forum. So when I have a negative reaction, I’ll gladly share it!

don"t be negative. From the accent the guy is Russian and he is doing quite well compared to crazy things going on in post soviet garages. Making a "one owner low milage well maintained car" from 2 3 donors is norm.

Not sure what you’re banging on about; according to his YouTube, he’s in Washington.

Now this is how you do a salvage to sleeper rebuild. Keep it short, sweet and highly interesting. No talk, just action:

So there is another one, rebuild a X5M, but this one seems more doable.
