Guy trying to rebuild a smashed x6m

This guy is crazy. If he can pull it off, then I'll be surprised.

From the thumbnail, it doesn't look like there is much left. Looks like he went under a semi trailer.

This thread, his project is very fascinating. The level of skill for one person to rebuild something this damaged is beyond comprehension. I've watch his vlog twice over and every time he removes something I cringe because I'm the type of diy mechanic that always have screws leftover lol. I wish him the best and I'm locked in. Obviously, he could of just leased a car or financed one, because a crashed 19 F86 ain't cheap nor is the parts.

I've been following him too...that car is such a mess. The other donor car is in better shape.

I guess just using the X6 would fall under the realm of too easy alongside say just purchasing/leasing one. Also if he did that then technically it wouldn't be an X6M no more but a X6.

All I can say is this guy must hate his wife.

What a time waster. This douchbag isn't "rebuilding" anything. he spends 75% of his time running his mouth in front of his iPhone.

Part 5 and he had not even pulled the engine.

He seems really optimistic about it, but I wonder, does he know what the tolerances are to fix it up to spec? I hope he really takes this into consideration when putting it back together and giving it to his wife. I wonder if that car will ever drive the same, o doubt it...

Watching him talk requires more patience than rebuilding a car like that. Idk how you guys do this YT shit....

Go turn some screws yourself instead of watching these idiots.

That sounds impossible to fix in about a month with that damage, the vehicle will always have a salvaged title since it was totaled. This sounds like a total waste of time pun intended!! He should of bought his wife a nice used x6 since she is going to be having their newborn baby riding in it.

Go through his videos, apparently this is something he does.
Not his first salvaged X6 either.

He could care less about tolerances this entire production is just click bait. If he had a simple fender bender X6M no one would tune in, but a basketcase, guys will tune in just to see what happens next. You see he is dragging the thing out over multiple videos spending much of the time just running his mouth. He is making enough money from clicks to buy a new X6M.

Bro! My wife would kill me if I bought her a car that was in that condition before being restored. I mean my wife would 100% divorce me for this kinda stupidity...

There's an extremely good reason why the insurance company totaled this 2019 X6M basket case with only 4,500 miles. It's prolly worth more parted out, depending what he paid however.

But it reminds me of Rich Rebuilds, the YouTube star who rebuilds totaled Teslas. Now he's got YT revenue coming in and now starting his own business. I'm sure there's a method to his madness. The best of luck tho! :

He mentioned in his last video that he paid 7000 for the burnt x6, but I haven't heard how much he paid for the x6m.

I dont understand the negative comments about that mans choices. And isnt that what YouTube's about? Obviously he sees no fun in buying a new/used/leased car. And his wife is filming and it's her second X6 so obviously she's down with it. Me personally, I rather watch a guy do the unimaginable than watching someone stuff there face with food or listening to the delicate sound of a f'king crinkling bag. I'm actually learning more about my car by watching him teardown and rebuild his.

I agree with you it is cool to see just saying I wouldn’t want to own the car myself that’s all.
