Side Mirror Question

All,

First off, thanks for taking the time to read this.

Prior to a lease return, I am attempting to replace the section of the side mirror on a 2017 X5 50i. The vehicle is equipped with both blind spot detection and surround view cameras.

I have attached a photo of the cracked piece I need to replace as well as a schematic I found on another thread.

Problem is, based upon the schematic (if it is in fact the correct schematic for my vehicle), I cannot determine was the specific part number is and whether or not it can be ordered separately from the other mirror parts?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure if you are M Sport/Blind Spot or not. Looks like you don't have the Shadow Line trim....?

The part nbr index would be BELOW the illustration if you were on the actual part database website.

Go to http://bimmercat.com and type in the last 7 digits of your VIN (in the SEARCH BY VIN field). Browse your way over to the VEHICLE TRIM (group 51) of diagrams and scroll down to the one for the type of exterior mirrors you have. Click on that diagram and it will explode into the view you found and posted above...but will also give you the part nbr list for the items represented in the illustration. You will may also see multiple part nbrs based on how your BMW is optioned, too. So make sure you select the part nbr based on the options your BMW has.

The part you have circled in yellow on your pic would be part #4 in the diagram illustration. Again, go to one of the online part database sites (like the one I linked above)...and you will see the actual BMW 11 digit part nbr for the piece you're looking for.

Good luck. Once you have the correct 11 digit BMw part nbr...you can search online using that number or call your local BMW dealership's Parts Dept and have them order it for you.
