Can You Flat Tow?

Hello I have a 2016 X5d that I’m interested in flat towing behind a motor home when we go on longer trips. Does anyone know if this is doable?

I'd say no. The transfer case doesn't have a neutral position. So you'd have to put the x5 transmission in neutral. But if the engine is off, there will be no fluid be pumped thru the trans, and your output shaft of the transmission will be spinning with no lube. And will wear out.

No, you can not flat tow the X5.
